SA: Still no decision on election date

ADELAIDE, Jan 12 AAP - There was deafening silence from the South Australian premier'soffice, despite speculation that a state election would be called today.

Yesterday, state politicians were in a campaign frenzy, with rumours the election wouldbe announced today for February 9.

But despite yesterday's rumours and expectations, there was no announcement from PremierRob Kerin today.

A state election is due in April at the latest, and mid to late February have beenruled out because of a scheduled visit from the Queen.

Mr Kerin earlier this week conceded he had two options.
